From Photographer to Champion (Silver Medalist)

In the last competition, Luke was helping us to take photos for our academy. After watching a few grappling matches, he showed interest in competing, but worried that he would not be good enough. Few months later, he competed and did really well. He could have got Gold if not Tan Xing Hua, (Fellow member from the BJJ Sin) stopping him in the final. Well Done.

Silver for Nelson

Nelson getting silver losing to his friend Mark in the final. Congrats to both of them.

Silver (Novice No Gi Under 88kg)

Professor Richard

Richard may have got Bronze but the sacrifice he made for his fellow member is worth a Gold medal itself. Richard and Ben (fellow training member) have proceeded to meet each other in the semi final. Both not wanting to tire each other, Richard volunteered to bail out. Knowing Richard as a perfectionist and avid competitor, it is very very big sacrifice on his part. Good on ya!!!

Bronze (Novice No Gi under 77kg)

"WOW Gladiator"

Well Done Ben!!! Finishing most of his fights with submissions and one with a spectacular arm bar. Again, this may not have been possile if not the sacrifice Richard made by bailing out from semi final against Ben.

Training with the Legends

I had the luxury of training with these two champions privately. They showed me a bunch of great moves which I can definitely add to my game. The seminar was just as informative and insightful. Having to spend lots of time with them, I managed to get tons of information which would help me my understanding of BJJ.
